Prayers can feel like they scatter to wind. Do they reach God’s ears. Like seeds that float on the breeze, eventually they will land, take root, and grow into something beautiful. With original illustrations the song Seeds in the Wind is brought to life along with a reminder that God does not forget.
Sending out prayers, wishes, hopes, and dreams can sometimes feel like floating dandelion seeds. They seem to blow endlessly in the wind, never landing, never answered.
My world was shaken, I lay on my bed face planted in a pillow as I cried. I wondered where God was and if he really cared. He seemed so very far away. I picked up my guitar and began to play. The words to SEEDS IN THE WIND started to flow in slow sorrowful notes.
Then something happened. My hurt gave way to hope as I realized that my prayers are like seeds. They do float but they also land, they root, they grow, and they become something lovely. It may take time but of this I am sure, God does not forget seeds or prayers blown in the wind.
